En agosto del año 2010 en Grupo de Investigación que viene trabajando en la línea de
estudios denominada “Comunicación y Rurbanidad” se presentó a la Convocatoria 2010 del
Ministerio de Ciencia y Tecnología de la Provincia de Córdoba en su Programa de
comunicación pública de la ciencia: Transferencia de los resultados de Investigación (PROTRI
2010) con el proyecto titulado “CARREROS: usos del audiovisual para la sensibilización y la
educación”.
La actividad principal de esta propuesta consistió en el trabajo a nivel de
sensibilización pública y apoyo escolar por medio de talleres con material audiovisual. La
problemática enfocada correspondió a la “rurbanidad” y la situación sociocultural y económica
de los «carreros». Interesaron los establecimientos educativos periféricos donde concurren los
hijos de sus familias, quienes realizan reciclaje de basura y otras actividades auxiliadas con
carros y caballos; y el resto del conjunto de los establecimientos educativos de la ciudad de
RIO CUARTO.
