Protagonistas de una actividad en crecimiento, subtítulo que acompaña a TURISMO RURAL como eje temático central de la publicación, adelanta en mucho el sentido que el Proyecto Nacional de Turismo Rural y el Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Agropecuaria recuperan de las experiencias que en diversos rincones de Argentina se cultivan para dar vida a un modo diferente de ofrecer-hacer turismo.
Es que, si algo tienen en común estas experiencias, es la notable grandeza de los esfuerzos que técnicos, asesores promotores, emprendedores, capacitadores y otros actores ponen día tras día para dar viabilidad, proyección y mayor calidad a cada una de las propuestas en las que participan.
Un puñado de esos esfuerzos, contenidos en las ocho experiencias que aquí se presentan, relatan e ilustran esos protagonismos muchas veces silenciosos que se construyen en las ruralidades de
nuestro vasto territorio en más de los cien proyectos que están en marcha.
Las regiones de CUYO, LITORAL, NORTE, PATAGONIA y CENTRO están aquí representadas por grupos de entusiastas productores familiares, artesanos, maestros y prestadores varios que, con
mayor o menor trayectoria, ponen en papel su experiencia para compartir sus orígenes, recorridos, dificultades y logros. En cada caso una frase los identifica. Fueron ellos, los protagonistas, los que a través de ella encontraron una síntesis de su hacer colectivo:
